During a recent charity event for God’s Love We Deliver, honoree Ryan Murphy took a few minutes on stage to ask event attendee, Bette Midler, if she would appear on Glee. Murphy asked Midler in front of 1000+ people. Talk about being put on the spot?! (Hocus Pocus Tribute, anyone!? Kathy Najimy as a hysterical sex-ed teacher?!) The two took to Twitter to talk publicly about the negotiations and stirred up some major gleek excitement!
Murphy:
“I just asked the incredible Bette Midler to be on Glee in front of 1,000 people. I hope she says yes!
Midler:
“And from the stage, @ryanmurphy invited me to guest on @Glee! I should get out more!!”
Murphy:
“Bette said yes! Amazing. I am plotting…who should she play?”
Midler:
“Ok, @rpmurphy, I have one vote for Rachel’s grandmother…hmmmm. I’m thinking, I’m thinking!!”
