Everyone needs an angel in their time of need and for Paula Deen, that angel appears to be Stacey Dash.
Paula has been surrounded by controversy and backlash since the report that she used the ‘N-word’ surfaced. Twenty years ago, Deen reportedly let loose some racial slurs and discriminating actions toward a former manager of her Savannah, Georgia restaurant, and has now had a lawsuit filed against her for those said actions.
Paula admitted to using the forbidden word and shortly after her confession, the Food Network dropped her program.
Twitter has been running amok with all kinds of Paula Deen related hashtags and trending topics, mostly picking at her and poking fun at the situation.
However, not everyone on Twitter is bashing the celebrity chef. Actress Stacey Dash took to the social network to defend Deen, tweeting “God does everything for a reason @Paula_Deen Only God can judge your heart…”
Unfortunately as in all situations on the internet, Dash received quite a bit of backlash, but I guess that’s just a small price to pay for standing up to what you feel is right.
