If you enjoyed the first part of Teen Wolf season 3 during the summer, most likely you will be eager for the winter premiere. Tyler Posey, the Teen Wolf himself, gave Entertainment Weekly a sneak peak of what we will witness in season 3B of the show.
Tyler promises the fans with a much-crazier season, with less non-stop action sequences and more horror elements. “It’s going to be really fun to watch. It’s by far going to be the most intense, unforgettable season ever. So far.”
As you might have already noticed, other characters than Scott are taking over the show, and he is no longer what the story is all about. Posey says that Stiles is getting all the attention this time, which he enjoyed because he got the chance to step back and let someone else deal with all the supernatural work.
He told EW: “Don’t get me wrong, I still work like a freaking madman, but it was slightly less intense. Stiles’ storyline this season is absolutely one of the coolest things ever. I’m a little jealous that I didn’t get to play it.”
In the next episodes we get to see Scott transforming into a werewolf, which the actor describes as more aggressive and more interesting to play, because there are no boundaries when he gets to play the werewolf. “It feels second nature now,” he says.
At the end of season 3A, Scott and Allison’s relationship seemed like it has come to an end. Tyler teases the fans about this: “It’s really interesting. I think at the end of season 3A, Scott fully accepted and understands that they’re no longer going to be together. Now you can actually see their friendship. Not a romantic relationship, but a friendship, and they make a really good team. You see everyone this season become this huge team and this full-on pack.”
When asked how he snaps out of the werewolf character, Posey admits it takes him up to three weeks to do so; but with not being on the center stage this season it makes him feel a lot better.
Tyler also loves watching TV series, and of course his favorite is Teen Wolf! He likes watching Dexter with his fiancée, and he believes that there’s a lot of similarities between Dexter’s character and his character, Scott. He explains: “Dexter is a bad guy but he’s got such a unique storyline to watch, and I think I do take a little bit from that. I’m a werewolf, I’m a killer—Scott’s a good guy at heart but he is this monster, so he’s a little bit like Dexter.”
Also, The Office is his favorite show to watch before bedtime. When it comes to reality shows Hardcore Pawn is his guilty pleasure. Finally, Breaking Bad, because who doesn’t love that show!
Posey says he would love to see Scott be influenced by someone to turn evil. Although they did that in one episode back in season one, the star admits he wasn’t that good of an actor back then. We sense a lot of honesty in this man!
